On January 29th and 30th, 2009, the First International Forum on Migration and Peace will be held in Antigua, Guatemala. This Forum is organized by the Scalabrini International Migration Network (SIMN).

During the two days of the Forum, approximately 218 experts will share, at the international level and in particular in the context of the American Continent, their comments, endeavors and ideas for the promotion of a truly human and peaceful coexistence of all as a universal right.

Among the participants are several Nobel Peace Prize Laureates together with the representatives of governments, international organizations, civil societies, study centers, mass media and migrants’ organizations.

The Proceedings of the First International Forum on Migration and Peace, were recently published in Spanish and English. Organized by the Scalabrini International Migration Network (SIMN), 218 experts gathered in La Antigua, Guatemala on January 29th and 30th, 2009 under the slogan “Boarders: Walls or bridges?”
